The Center for Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (CMTP) is an Italian institution supporting research in mathematics and theoretical physics. The CMTP was founded on November 17, 2009 as an interdepartmental research center of the three Roman universities: Sapienza, Tor Vergata and Roma Tre.The CMTP's director is (Roberto Longo ), from the Mathematics Department of Tor Vergata University, and its scientific secretaries are (Alberto De Sole ), from Sapienza University, and (Alessandro Giuliani ), from Roma Tre University. The center does not have a permanent location; however, it is temporarily hosted in Tor Vergata's Mathematics Department. The aim of the CMTP, according to its Web site, is to "take advantage of the high quality and wide spectrum of research in mathematical physics presently carried on in Roma '' == Motivation for the creation the center == All big industrialized countries can count on prestigious centers of pure scientific research that attract the most eminent scientists and promote science at the highest levels, and mathematics and physics in particular. Italy, and in particular the Roman area, is in a unique position as far as basic scientific interdisciplinary research in mathematics and theoretical physics is concerned, not only because of the high quality of research but also for the ample spectrum of the subjects studied there. The creation of a Research Center in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics in Rome is therefore not only natural, but a key step to provide Italy and the city of Rome with an instrument of great impact and international visibility. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Center for Mathematics and Theoretical Physics」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
